Simple workstation adjustments can be effective in not only increasing worker comfort but reducing injury, which commonly results from poorly adjusted workstations and poor working postures. Increased comfort leads to increased productivity, improved staff morale and reduced absenteeism and ultimately a happier, healthier workforce.
AIP has been delivering customised and interactive office ergonomics training programs to organisations for more than 20 years. Our programs not only educate workers in correct setup and adjustment of their equipment and chair, but also emphasise the importance of regular movement and stretching during the workday and how to implement healthy office habits.
At AIP, whether we’re training 5, 50 or 500 staff, our customised training packages are designed to give our participants a hands-on, fun and interactive experience.
Office ergonomics training is recommended for all employees on an annual basis as a refresher and can also be conducted on a one-on-one basis for new recruits.
Our training sessions are conducted on site, anywhere throughout greater Sydney or remotely via video conferencing Australia wide.
Our group training sessions typically include a 30 or 60 - minute formal session conducted at an onsite workstation, followed by a brief, individual workstation check for each participant. A handout is provided for each participant and a summary report outlining any recommendations made is provided to the employer.
For workplaces where a formal training session is not practicable, an office walk through may be more suitable. This involves a 10 – 15 minute one-on-one demonstration with each employee, providing a step-by-step guide on workstation adjustment. Where possible, any necessary adjustments will be implemented immediately. A written summary report detailing any recommendations will be provided to the employer.
